●インターネット・クラブ(IIEC)秋の例会の報告

10月26日(日) JCCC 2階 ヒロコ バラル ルーム。1pm-4pm。

[] 情報交換された話題
有益な情報が沢山話されました。
* Content management system (CMS)の話。Webpage維持用。
* Smart phone tetheringでtablet WiFiを使う話。
* Yahoo JapanとRogers/Yahoo USの間でのe-mail rejection問題の経過。
* LaptopでAudioやpower-onの問題がいじっている内に勝手に直ったりprinterがたたいたら繋がった話。
* Used Macでbatteryと新しく買ったadapterが連携しなかった話。
* 高い密度のcomputer chipsが宇宙線粒子の影響を受けやすい話。
* 第3者のWeb pagesに勝手に掲載されているレストランや食料品店などの情報のupdateはどうするか。
* AirportsのFree WiFi。Toronto、Ft Lauderdale無料、Atlanta有料。
* 日本のFree WiFiの状況。セブンイレブン。Internet Cafeは有料。
* Hydro OneによるToronto downtown coreのFree WiFiはどうなったか。
* JCCCの1階にfree WiFiがある。(2階では弱すぎる）。
* Web baseとISPのe-mail accountのe-mail処理上の違い。
* Cloud computingの話。良く知っていないとfileを失ったりする。
* 裏庭に糞をする猫の実践的撃退法。
* レストランなどの面白い話がいろいろ出ました。
* 毎週金曜日のHBRでの赤岡さんのcomputer無料相談。1pm-4pm。

・・・などなど笑いの絶えない3時間でした。

◇例会は年2回、通常春(4月第3日曜日)と秋(10月第3日曜日)。
◇必要に応じて上記以外にも集ります。
◇セミナーの題材はcomputerやinternetに関係しないものでもかまいません。

[] Subjects discussed:
Useful pieces of information were exchanged.
* Maintaining web pages using content management system (CMS).
* Accessing WiFi on a tablet via smart phone tethering.
* E-mail rejection trouble between Yahoo Japan and Rogers/Yahoo US resolved.
* Troubles resolved by themselves such as no audio in laptop, laptop did not power on, no connection to printer.
* Battery and new adapter did not match in a used Mac.
* Today's high density computer chips are susceptible to cosmic rays.
* How to update the information on restaurants/food stores in the third party web pages.
* Free WiFi at airports. Toronto and Ft Lauderdale=Free, Atlanta for fees.
* Free WiFi in Japan: Free at Seven Eleven. For fees at Internet Cafes.
* What happened to Free WiFi at Toronto downtown core by Hydro One.
* Free WiFi at JCCC, at the reception area. Too weak on the 2nd floor.
* Differences in dealing with e-mail between Web base and ISPs' e-mail accounts.
* Cloud computing. Need to know well how to do it.
* How to get rid of cats that leave feces in your lawn.
* There were other interesting stories on restaurants and their meals.
* Free consulting service on computer by Mr Akaoka every Friday 1pm-4pm at HBR.

... etc., etc. It was full of laughter for 3 hours.
