●インターネット・クラブ(IIEC)秋の例会の報告

10月21日(日) JCCC 2階 ヒロコ バラル ルーム。1pm-4pm。

●8月に亡くなられたハランバラシス和子さんに黙祷

毎回の例会に出席、いろいろな話題と笑いを提供して下さった和子さんの冥福を祈り例会の最初に皆で黙祷しました。

●セミナー

[1] 「コスミック（宇宙）カレンダー」（三浦）
*137億年の宇宙の長さに比べればあなたの一生はコスミック（宇宙）カレンダーの中では0.2秒。
[2] いかに安く自費出版するか（三浦）
*出版社の経費の10分の1以下で自費出版した話。（「コスミック茶話」96冊販売）。
[3] Drop Boxの話とデモ（赤岡）
*Cloud computingのtrend-->Disk spaceをどこかのserverに持つ。
*写真など容量の多いものの保存・share。
*MS、Apple、GoogleなどもあるがDrop Boxはそのひとつ、most popular。
*Accountを作ることにより「Share」「Link」などで第三者と。

*Hotelの無料Internet：CableからWiFiに。部屋では弱くLobbyだけの場合あり。
*空港の無料Internet：US、ヨーロッパでは業者が入って有料：$5/day、$10/yr。
*銀行口座やcredit card口座がhackされて残高がマイナスになった話。

・・・などなど笑いの絶えない3時間でした。

◇例会は年2回、通常春(4月第3日曜日)と秋(10月第3日曜日)。
◇必要に応じて上記以外にも集ります。
◇セミナーの題材はcomputerやinternetに関係しないものでもかまいません。

[*] A moment of silence for Kazuko Chalambalacis who passed away in August

She attended almost all regular meetings and brought interesting subjects and a lot of laughs. We had a moment of silence for her at the beginning of the meeting.

[1] Cosmic (Universe) Calendar (By Nobby Miura)
*Your entire life is only 0.2 seconds when the 13.7 years of the history of the universe is squeezed in a calendar of one year.
[2] How to self-publish a book at a minimum cost (By Nobby Miura)
*An experience in self-publishing a book at less than one-tenth of the cost of what the commercial publishers charge you. 96 Cosmic Tea Time Stories sold.
[3] Drop Box: What is it? (By Mitsuru Akaoka)
* Part of the trend of cloud computing -->Have a disk space in servers outside.
* Handy to store and share files especially large size/quantity of pictures etc.
* Drop box is most popular. MS, Apple, Google etc also offer the same service free.
* Create account-->Then share or link with third parties.
[4]Other subjects discussed
* Free internet at hotels: Moving from cable to WiFi. Sometimes it is strong enough in the lobby area only (In Europe).
* Internet at airports: No more free in US / Europe. Commercialized $5/day、$10/yr.
* Bank and credit card account hacked. Negative balance.

... etc., etc. It was full of laughter during the three hours..

[] IIEC Meetings: Twice a year, normally 3rd Sundays of Apr and Oct.
[] If needed we will meet more often.
[] Seminar topics do not need to be related to internet or computer.
