On Sunday, April 3 we at Centennial-Japanese United Church are having a stew lunch followed by a benefit concert. All proceeds from the event is going to the help Japan Earthquake Relief through partners of the United Church of Canada in Japan.

The stew lunch is $5.00 per person and will be at 12 noon and there will also be a bake sale and sale of hand made cards, children’s toys and books.

The concert will start around 1:00 pm and will feature trumpet player John Liddle, pianist Triz Remedios, the English Handbell Choir, pianist Junko Yoshizawa, the band Bananafish led by Brian Fukjuzawa and choirs from Centennial-Japanese United Church, Lansing United Church and Toronto Japanese United Church and others. There is no charge for the concert but you can make a donation to the cause.

Venue: Lansing United Church
49 Bogert Avenue
One block west of Yonge and one block south of Sheppard.
Street parking and the subway stop is only a short block away.
