●TSA to Reject Reservations without SFPD
TSA will reject reservations for travel on or after Nov. 1 that do not include full SFPD.All Secure Flight data must be in the flight reservation within 72 hours of travel, or immediately if the reservation is made within 72 hours of departure.
Secure Flight’s Final Rules require that every covered aircraft operator collect each passenger’s full name, date of birth, gender and *Redress Number*, if one exists (collectively referred to as SFPD) when a reservation on a covered flight is made within 72 hours of the flight’s scheduled departure. The Redress Number is a unique number that the Department of Homeland Security assigns to individuals who use the department’s Traveler Redress Inquiry Program (TRIP) to promote resolution with previous Watch List alerts for those who believe they were mistakenly put on a Watch List.
If a reservation is made within 72 hours of the flight’s scheduled departure, the SFPD must be collected at the time of booking. Each aircraft operator will have to ensure that each third party that accepts a reservation on its behalf complies with these requirements. After Nov. 1, 2010, Secure Flight will no longer accept passenger records that do not contain the full SFPD. This policy will apply to all passenger records regardless of source, aircraft operator or air carrier.
*Redress Number*
If the passenger has the same name as someone whose name appears on the US Government "No-Fly List", then they have to apply for a "Redress Number" which is also added to the flight reservation record every time they fly, so the TSA will know they are NOT the same passenger as the one with their same name that is on the "No-Fly List".
●The discontinuation of I-94W form (only for travelers who eligible Visa Waiver Program)
As a result of the implementation of the ESTA (Electronic System for TravelAuthorization) program from January 12, 2009, the U.S. Customs and Boarder Patrol has now advised that it will eliminate its paper CBP Form I-94W (green form) for all nonimmigrant visitors seeking entry to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) at U.S. entry points via air or sea where the ESTA program is currently being utilized.All visitors seeking entry to the U.S. under the VWP will therefore no longer be required to fill out an I-94W, and travel authorization will instead be obtained solely via ESTA online, which must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to departure to the U.S. (TheI-94W will be required in the case of system outages.)
This new procedure is now effective at all JAL,ANA,Delta,American Airlines U.S. gateways.
●Air Canada Fuel Surcharge will increase for originated Japan flight.
Air Canada announced that effective August 1, 2010, the fuel surcharge from Japan to Canada will be increased from JPY 11,500 to JPY 14,500 per direction.
●Delta Announces Tokyo-Haneda Flight Schedules
Delta Air Lines announced flight schedules for new daily, year-round flights between Tokyo's Haneda Airport and Detroit and Los Angeles. The new flights, which begin Jan. 29, 2011, will be available for sale to customers began Saturday, July 17. Flights are scheduled as follows, subject to government approval.

●Reservations open Aug. 2 for Disney’s Hawaii resort
Aulani, Disney's new resort at Ko Olina on Oahu, will begin accepting reservations for rooms and packages on Aug. 2. The resort is scheduled to open just over a year later, on Aug. 29, 2011. Aulani is being built on the western side of Oahu, on 21 acres of oceanfront property at the Ko Olina Resort & Marina. The resort will feature 359 hotel rooms and 481 Disney Vacation Club villas. The rooms will be housed in two 15-story towers.There will be two restaurants on-site, a wedding lawn, a conference center, a spa center, a pool, a lazy river, a wading pool, hot tubs, an adult pool and a snorkeling lagoon. The resort will have age-specific programming for kids ages 3 to 10, tweens, teens and adults, including pool parties with Disney characters, excursions into the rainforest, surf lessons and Hawaiian cooking lessons with local chefs. Aulani will also include Aunty’s Beach House, a club wherekids can explore Hawaiian culture through games, such as interactive touch tables, arts and crafts. Introductory room rates will start at $399 per night.

US Transportation Security Administration (TSA)は2010年11月1日の搭乗から、搭乗者の氏名、生年月日、性別等の情報が予め予約記録に入力されていない場合、予約を取り消すと通達しました。搭乗時間72時間以上前に作成された予約記録には72時間前までにこれらの情報を入力する必要があります。搭乗時間前72時間以内の予約については速やかに入力しなくてはなりません。TSAは旅行会社、航空会社に対し、搭乗客のフルネーム、生年月日、性別、※Redress Numberを出発時間72時間前までに予約記録に入力する事をSecure Flight Programの最終決定としています。搭乗時間前72時間以内の第三者による予約には、必ず予約時にこれらの情報を入力する事になります。2010年11月1日以降、全ての乗客に対しこれらの情報が無い場合、搭乗する事ができませんので、くれぐれもご注意下さい。

2009 年1月12日からのESTA（電子認証システム）の導入の結果、米国税関と国境警備局は、ビザ免除プログラム参加国の国民に対しI-94Wフォームを提出を求めてきましたが、ESTAプログラムが機能している空路及び海路の入国地から入国する場合、これを廃止する事になりました。しかしながら、ESTAのオンラインでの登録は必ず米国入国72時間前までに完了させて下さい。またESTAシステムの一時的なダウンなどにより、I-94Wフォームを記入の上、入国をして頂くこともあります。この新しい手続きはJAL、ANA、デルタ航空、アメリカン航空の米国各乗り入れ都市で実施されています。
●エア・カナダ日本発燃料サーチャージを8月から値上げ
エア・カナダは2010年8月1日から日本発カナダ行きの燃料サーチャージを現行方通につき11500円から14500円に値上げ致します。
