The Japan Society Winter Programme
Message from Ben Ciprietti!
Invitation
The first Winter Programme for 2010 will be held on January 21st, 2010
Luncheon with Ambassador Jonathan Fried
As we announce in our Season's Greeting note in December, our first Winter Programme event will be a visit by His Excellency, the Ambassador
of Canada to Japan, Jonathan Fried. The event will be held on Thursday January 21st, 2010 from Noon to 2:00 PM.in the offices of McMillan LLP. 44th Floor, Bay WellingtonTower, 181 Bay Street, Toronto. A light lunch will be provided.
The Ambassador's presentation is entitled:
"Canada and Japan as Pacific Partners - a Call for Renewed Engagement"
The presentation will reflect on the rather unexpected decline in the previously vibrant relationship between Canada and Japan at all levels,
government, business, professional and academic and how we might help rejuvenate that relationship.
We are pleased to confirm that the event is being co-sponsored by the Japan External Trade Relations Organization (JETRO) and the Toronto
Japanese Association of Commerce and Industry (Shokokai). We are delighed to welcome members of our so-sponsors on this very special
occasion.
Please contact Ben Ciprietti at 416 366 4196 or email the Society
ben@japansocietycanada.com
to confirm your attendance as soon as possible.
