High Parkの桜の開花を宣言します。4月19日。
今朝（4月20日）、坂に沿った桜並木の木々にかなりの数の桜が咲いているのを確認しました。明らかに昨夕開花しました。開花予想範囲内より1日遅い。
予想最終版を発信した4月11日当時の長期予報より低温が続いたのが影響しました。
今後1週間も低温の予報です。今日の数値に今日の長期予報の数値を使って再計算すると満開のピークは27日前後とでます。

[] [Now Blooming] Nobby's Fearless Prediction of Cherry Blossoms at High Park (April 19)

I declare that the cherry flowers in the High Park started blooming.  April 19.
This morning (April 20), I found that more than a few flowers were blooming on the cherry trees along the trail on the slope.  Obviously they started to bloom last night.  One day later than the prediction range.
In the last one week, the temperatures were lower than the 14-day forecast I used for the prediction FINAL on April 11.  That resulted in the later blooming than predicted.
Lower temperatures are forecasted for the next one week.  Using today's calculated figure and the long range forecast, the peak of the full bloom seems to occur around April 27.

* The definition of the blooming is that at least 5 to 6 flowers on at least two trees each among the three pre-chosen trees bloom. 

* Full bloom means the condition where 90% of the flowers are in full bloom.

Note: I am not an expert on the blooming nor the cherry blossoms. I am calculating the figures with very basic pieces of information. I do not take any responsibilities if the prediction was off.
