今年もHigh Parkの桜開花予想の積算気温を計算しています。

開花予想範囲が2週間の長期天気予報の範囲に入りましたので、
これを最終予想とします。
現在の最終予想は3月中旬の最初の予想から殆ど動きません。

[開花] 5月3日から7日の間
[満開] 5月8日から12日の間

開花予想の過去の記録：

2007年5月2日(予想範囲内)
2008年4月26日(予想範囲内)
2009年4月27日(予想範囲内より2日遅れ)
2010年4月12日(予想範囲内)
2011年5月4日（予想範囲内より1日遅れ）
2012年4月5日（予想範囲内より3日遅れ）
2013年4月30日（予想範囲内）
2014年5月9日（予想範囲内より1日遅れ）

*「開花」とはあらかじめ決めた3本の木のうち2本に5ー6輪咲いた状態。
*「満開」とは80%の花が咲いた状態。

注)ボクは桜の専門家ではありません。非常に簡単な方法(*)で予想しています。開花予想が外れても責任は負えません。
(*) 日照率＝開花を早める、風/雨＝開花を遅くする、などの要素が計算式に入っていません。

I am again calculating the cumulative temperature for predicting the blooming of the cherry trees in the High Park.

My prediction is within the 14-day weather forecast now.
Thus, I make this prediction as the FINAL.
The final prediction is almost the same as the original prediction I made in mid-March.

[Blooming begins] In the range from May 3 to May 7
[Full Bloom] In the range from May 8 to May 12

Past blooming record:

May 2, 2007 (Within the prediction)
April 26, 2008 (Within the prediction)
April 27, 2009 (2 days later than the prediction range)
April 12, 2010 (Within the prediction)
May 4, 2011 (1 day later than the predicted range)
April 5, 2012 (3 days later than
the predicted range)
April 30, 2013 (Within the prediction)
May 9, 2014 (1 day later than the predicted range)

* The definition of the blooming is that at least 5 to 6 flowers on at least two trees each among the three pre-chosen trees bloom.
* Full bloom means the condition where 80% of the flowers are in full bloom.

Note: I am not an expert on the blooming nor the cherry blossoms. I am calculating the figures with very basic pieces of information (*). I do not take any responsibilities if the predictions are off.
(*) Such effects as sunshine hours (accelerates bloom) and wind/rain (slows bloom) are not included in the formula.
