Announcement of the 2012 Japanese Language Proficiency Test: Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012
We are happy to announce that the registration period of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December 2012 has started. The Japanese Language Proficiency Test is designed to evaluate
and
certify the language proficiency of learners of the Japanese language. In Canada, the Japanese Language Proficiency Test is offered in Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Test Sites Toronto: York University
Edmonton: University of Alberta
Vancouver: Capilano University
Test Fee $70 CAD
Registration Period Saturday, Sep. 1 - Friday, Oct. 5, 2012
How to Register
Online Registration

Online Registration: A link will be available on the first day of registration so interested individuals
can apply for the test using the online system. You will need a PayPal account or credit card to pay the
registration fees.
Mail-in Registration
l Vancouver: The Test Guide and Application packages can be downloaded from the following
websites: http://capilanou.ca/jlpt
Mail-In Registration: A PDF application booklet with fillable form will be available on the first day of
registration for those who want to apply for the test through mail. You will need to send payment in the
form of a credit card, certified cheque, money order, or cash (in person registration only).
*Note: The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Information Sessions on the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test(JLPT)at JFT
The Japan Foundation, Toronto offers information sessions for Japanese language learners who are interested in the JLPT. (Teachers and guardians are welcome but registration is required)
Location: The Japan Foundation, Toronto
131 Bloor St W, Suite 213, Toronto (2nd floor of the Colonnade)
Dates and Times: (N1 - N2: 3 day session, N3: 2 day session, N4 - N5: 1 day session)
Beginner level: JLPT N2 Oct. 25, Nov.1 & 8 (Thursday 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
Advanced level: JLPT N1 Oct. 30, Nov.6 & 13 (Tuesday 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM)
Application Deadline: (Space is limited, so please apply as soon as possible.) Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012
