Masayuki Suzuki-san, Executive Director of The Japan Foundation will be leaving Canada to receive a new position at the head office in Tokyo. His tentative date in the first or second week of October has not been confirmed.
A farewell Dinner at the EDO Japanese Restaurant will be held on Thursday September 29th, 2011. This will be an opportune time to say a personal farewell to a Gentleman who has done an outstanding job in his position to promote art, culture, literary, contemporary artist from Japan to the Canadian public at large. He made a point to attending the Network Meeting and other community functions. He truly was a man of action taking his position over and above expectation.
He made many friends during his four and half years in Toronto. Is held with high esteem and respect.
Please invite your members or people you know who had contact with Suzuki-san, since I am unable to reach everyone!
Cost will be approximately $50 per person.
