「想いを伝えよう」 ”Stand for Children"
ー 被災地の子供と親を応援するイベント ー


JCCCでは被災地の子供たちと親へメッセージを送るファミリーイベントを開催します。日本のために何かをしたい、心を伝えたいと思っている方、お子様と一緒に折り鶴を折ったり寄せ書きをしたり、絵てがみを描いて、想いを語り合い、メッセージを届けませんか。メッセージは被災地の子供たちに直接届けられます。被災者の皆さんとともにGTAに在する日本を想う皆さんが一緒に集まり、お互いを支え合い、気持ちを共有することを目的とします。日本のことを想う多くの皆さんに参加していただきたいイベントです。

当日は、JCCCファミリーアニメ上映会も行われ、『あらしのよるに』が上映されます。日本語で上映、英語の字幕付きです。この上映会の収益金は震災義援金としてJCCCファンドに寄付されます。ぜひご家族そろってご参加ください。

また、JCCC恒例バザー（5月7日）で販売するための準備として餅つきが行われます。又、この日だけ特別につきたてのお餅を安価で販売致します。

昼食には軽食もご購入いただける予定です。

絵てがみ：応援絵てがみを描くにあたって講師がつき簡単な指導をしてくれます。お子様だけでなく、保護者の方もぜひご参加ください。

折り鶴：折り紙を用意しますが、ご家庭で使わなくなった包装紙やリサイクルペーパーを持参していただければ、会場で切って正方形にします。皆様のご協力お願い申し上げます。

寄せ書き：お子様の手形をとり、一言メッセージを沿えます。

インフォメーションデスク：協賛団体の資料や各サポートグループ、カウンセリング、県人会など、日系に関わるグループの情報を入手できます。

“Stand for Children”
~Supporting Event for the Children and Parents in the striken area~

The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre is hosting a family event to send messages to those who have been impacted, especially children and parents by the recent earthquake, tsunami and disasters that followed. If you would like to do something for Japan, please join us to share your thoughts and prayers as well as to send your sincere messages with paper cranes, a message board and E-tegami art. All the messages will be sent directly to those children in the affected areas.

The purpose of this event is to bring together all who are praying for Japan, support each other and share the feeling around the GTA. We hope to see as many prayers for Japan as possible.

There will be a family animated movie shown at the event. The title is Stormy Night and shown with English subtitles. Ticket profits will be donated to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre / Japan Fund. The whole family is welcome to attend.

Also, Rice cake (Mochi) will be pounded in preparation for JCCC’s annual bazaar (May 7th). Freshly pounded Mochi will be available for purchase. Light snacks will be available for purchase.

E-tegami art card：An instructor will guide you through making an E-tegami card. All are welcome!

Origami Paper Crane：Origami paper will be provided; however, we appreciate your support by bringing unwanted wrapping paper, recycling paper and scrap paper from home. They will be cut in squares to be used for folding.

Message board：Write your message along with your child’s handprint.

Information desk：Obtain brochures and information on Japanese community, sponsor organizations, support groups, counselling, prefectural associations.
