　未亡人の母親とその一人娘の再婚・結婚をめぐる。原節子は今回は未亡人。岡田茉莉子のチャキチャキした演技が面白い。受付の女性社員として端役で出演した岩下志麻がこの映画で認められ一躍映画界へ、だそうです。カラー。

＊先の土曜日に多様文化局(Ch14)で日本映画「Flowers(2010)」がありました。気がついたのが始まる8時ちょっと前でお知らせ出来ませんでした。昭和11年から平成21年まで3世代6人の母親・娘のいろいろな人生を追いかける、なかなか良い映画でした。多様文化局(Ch14)も時々日本映画を流します。気をつけていて下さい。

[] A Japanese film - End of Autumn (1960) – In Japanese with French sub-titles.
  Surrounding the remarriage of a widow and the marriage of her daughter. This time, Setsuko Hara plays the widow.  The crisp acting of Mariko Okada is refreshing.  Shima Iwashita, who appeared as a reception clerk, was noticed by Ozu and became a major movie star after this.　　In colour.

* There was a Japanese movie "Flowers (2010)" last Saturday night at the multicultural station (Ch14).  I noticed it just before its start of 8pm.  Thus I could not alert you in time.  It is a story of the various lives of 6 mothers and daughters spanning 3 generations from 1936 to 2009.  It was a good movie.  The multicultural station (Ch14) often shows Japanese movies.  So, keep your eyes on.
