JCCC is looking for a dedicated volunteer with an interest in learning about Japanese landscaping and becoming an arborist while caring for the small (but lovely) Japanese garden here at JCCC.

Mr. Yonezo (Scott) Fujita, who has cared for our Japanese garden since our move here to 6 Garamond, is willing to mentor and pass along some of his vast knowledge of Japanese tree care and shaping to this successful candidate.

This volunteer work is very seasonal in nature (spring and fall mainly) and requires the candidate to only occasionally visit our garden but will require the candidate to exercise an abundance of “tender loving care”.  Our current arborist, Mr. Yonezo (Scott) Fujita who oversaw Consul General of Japan’s Sakura project in Ontario, has agreed to provide a guiding hand to the successful applicant & bestow upon him/her his knowledge and love of Japanese-style tree care and shaping.

The successful applicant should be self-motivated, community-minded and have a strong interest in Japanese landscaping.

If interested, please contact Nao Seko, JCCC’s property manager, on his cell at (416) 579-6921 or, if by email, to nseko@masamigroup.ca .

Best Regards,
JCCC Volunteer Committee
